The simplest,
most economical style of shaft collar is a setscrew, which
slides onto a shaft and is held into place by a setscrew.
Three materials are used in the manufacturing of these collars;
nylon which is USDA/FDA approved for use in food processing;
zinc-plated steel for most industrial applications; and stainless
steel for corrosion resistance.
