Boston Gear's
1-piece rigid couplings are for use when the mating shafts
are positioned in lateral and angular alignment. This style
of coupling precludes any misalignment and will create high
stress on the shafts and support bearings. Because of this
design, a rigid coupling can transmit higher torque than
a comparably sized flexible bearing.
