Overview

In addition to the standard 700 Series, Boston Gear offers a complete line of Bost-Kleen™ washdown-duty reducers. And to meet all of a plant's processing needs, we offer two types of epoxy-coated products: white and stainless steel. Both are BISSC-certified and USDA-approved to ensure reliable performance despite the rigors of washdown applications.

Features and Benefits

  • Washdown versions are available for all sizes and models of the 700 Series for increased versatility:
    • A white, USDA-approved, epoxy-coated model for standard washdown applications.
    • A stainless steel, USDA-approved, epoxy-coated model for more rigorous environments.
  • A pressure-relief vent plug keeps lubrication in and contaminants out for continuously superior performance.
  • Stainless steel hardware provides complete corrosion protection for greater endurance.
  • The 100% cast-iron housing, flange, and base mean extra durability.
  • Pre-filled with Mobil® SHC634 synthetic lubrication, these washdown-duty reducers offer high-quality operation.
  • These complementary washdown-duty products make our 700 Series washdown-duty reducers easier to install and maintain:
    • Washdown-duty AC and DC motors in both white and stainless steel
    • AC and DC NEMA 4 washdown-duty adjustable-speed motor controls
    • BISSC-certified in-line and offset parallel shaft helical gear drives
    • Non-metallic food grade bearings
    • Stainless steel universal joints
    • FDA-approved Rulon® 641 sleeve bushings
