Boston Gear offers a wide range of TENV (totally enclosed, non-ventilated) AC motors that are ideal for environments where dirt or dust would contaminate a TEFC model motor. They are available in both C-face, for mounting on our enclosed gear drives, or in rigid base models. The NEMA design B motors are available from 1/6 to 10HP and cover voltage ranges from 115 to 575 VAC. These motors are available as brake motors, washdown duty motors, and inverter duty models.

Features and Benefits

Boston Gear's fan-free design keeps dust and other particles from moving through the air to enhance the production environment. Washdown duty models are available to accommodate food processing applications, where frequent, heavy-duty washing may be a requirement. Inverter duty models provide continuous low speed torque for variable speed applications. Brake motors satisfy the needs of loads with specific stopping and holding torque requirements.
