Boston Gear offers
a wide range TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) AC motors.
These motors are offered in both C-Face for mounting to enclosed
gear drives and in rigid base models. These NEMA design B
motors are available from 1/6 - 75 HP and cover voltage ranges
from 115 VAC to 575 VAC. These motors are offered in three
model types: brake motors, washdown duty and inverter duty
models. These motors should be used in environments where
dust or other particles might enter an open drip proof motor.

Features and Benefits
- Motor cooling is efficiently accomplished by a fan blade
mounted to the motor start which circulates air over the
outside housing of the motor.
- Washdown duty models are ideal for food processing applications,
where frequent, high-pressure washdown of the motor may
be essential.
- Inverter duty models are ideal for those applications
which may require continuous low speed torque.
- We offer a line of AC brake motors and AC brakes which
mount on our standard motors to accommodate loads
having stopping and holding torque requirements.
